Asynchronous motor is an AC motor, the load speed and the frequency of the connected network is not a constant relationship. But also with the size of the load changes. The greater the load torque, the lower the rotor speed. Asynchronous motors include induction motors, doubly-fed asynchronous motors and AC commutator motors. Induction motor is the most widely used, without causing misunderstanding or confusion in the case, generally known as three phase induction motor for asynchronous motor.

Basic principles:

1. When the three phase asynchronous motor access three phase AC power supply, the three phase stator winding through the three phase symmetrical current generated three phase magnetomotive force (stator rotation magnetic potential) and produce rotating magnetic field.
2. The rotating magnetic field and the rotor conductor relative cutting movement, according to the principle of electromagnetic induction, the rotor conductor to generate induced electromotive force and generate induced current.
3. According to the law of electromagnetic force, the carrier of the rotor conductor in the magnetic field by the electromagnetic force, the formation of electromagnetic torque, driving the rotor rotation, when the motor shaft with mechanical load, the outward output of mechanical energy.
